As the news rolled in,
that innocent souls lay scattered
that innocent lives lay shattered
I wept for Paris….

When I heard atrocity
had befallen the city
with mercy in scarcity
I wept for Paris…

When rogues hid behind religion
And struck on a holy day
very little I could say
I wept for Paris…

As dozens we bid farewell
and hundreds we wish well
I bitterly weep
I weep for Paris…

And now I silently call
the creator of them all
to help bear this pain
I weep for Paris……
