I should at least define it,
Yeah, my job description
not really, my job
Or is it my tools?
Either way, we’ll get there

My best tool of trade
is my tongue,
nice choice of words,
convincing words,
and an intent brain…

Don’t call me a middleman,
let’s just say
am somewhere there
I think am intelligent
but the rest think am cunning…

This is what I do,
I stretch sides.
This side further,
the other further apart,
and reap from the stretch

Its not a white collar job,
I was never schooled for it.
And its not a petty job
I get a lot from it
its a good job…

When I was young,
I wanted to be a lawyer,
I am not one.
But hey! I have no regrets,
I make my own laws, compromise…

So how did i get this job?
I really don’t know.
But one thing is for sure,
I did no interview,
just a sweet tongue…

If you want to get something
I know a nice vendor.
If you want to sell something
I know a good buyer.
This’s my job, knowing people…

To be honest I don’t know
how I got this job,
But one thing is for sure
I love this job
Am just a broker…
