Its never on a Sunday
its not the best day
for impact wont be felt
and message wont be sent.

Its their right they defend
though some do pretend
so to streets they trip
a Sunday school trip.

Bibles replaced with banners
churches with street corners
hymns give room for chants
as Sunday best pave for strange pants.

Oppressors they say they’ll school
on their trip to Sunday school
and this they’ll do for free
like their free shopping spree.

If a bus disturbs as they pass
with stones they surely curse
with them they carry spears
just in-case the devil appears.

The streets they want clean
people, cars shouldn’t be seen
‘keep away! they warn, if you please.
‘We want to worship in peace.’

‘Where is our God?’ they demand
He must bless us!’ they command
but deities don’t discuss
and those gates they wont pass.

Angels come forth with teargas
amidst tears they all disperse
the service no longer cool
a botched trip to Sunday school….
